I am a Consultant Psychiatrist at All Saints Hospital, Elysium Healthcare, working in Deaf Mental Health care. I am also an Honorary Professor, Health and Society at the University of Salford. I provide expert psychiatric reports to the Courts for Claimants and Defendants.

  • Has over 30 years’ experience in Mental Health & Deafness – Advanced skills in BSL
  • Pioneer in the field – has set up and directed 4 difference Services, including Open, Medium & Low Secure Services. Recipient of Pioneering Award, Gallaudet University, Washington
  • Recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award at World Congress, Mental Health and Deafness, Belfast 2014
  • Lectured internationally on topics related to Mental Health and Deafness
  • Provide Forensic Psychiatric reports on Deaf individuals alleged to have committed offences

Industrial injuries

  • Deafness caused by working in Noisy environments can be devastating and have personal, occupational, psychological and social consequences. The onset of Tinnitus is very disconcerting and has mutually reinforcing relationship with anxiety and mood disorder.  BTM has developed expertise in this area of work and can provide Medico-Legal reports on clients with such conditions.
